History
One of the four public houses in the Market Place and the only public house to be part of the Blue Plaque heritage trail, the Bulls Head was first mentioned in the early 1730’s. Before the construction of the glass Market Hall in 1861, speakers could address large crowds from the upstairs windows.
In the early 1800s at General Elections, stages for voting called hustings were erected in front of this grade II listed building.
Today
Now the Bulls Head enters a new phase. With its popular live music and its online community portal, the Bulls Head is a popular public house at the centre of the community with lots going on for everyone.
If you haven’t visited the pub yet, what are you waiting for? Come down to the Bulls Head and experience this traditional pub and its traditional beers and food.
